Thursday was the third day of the resettlement in Tarnów. [...] There were many more people than the day before. That day, elderly people and children were taken to Zbylitowska Góra near Żaba's property by the monastery. Members of Baudienst (labour battalion) were digging pits there. The next day, local farmers were saying that they had seen children, still alive, being thrown into the pits. After that, grenades were being thrown into the pit and then it was covered with dirt... Everybody, children and elderly people, had to strip naked. Old people were executed with machine guns. |
