|
In the summer of 1942, 250 Jewish children under the age of 10 were gathered in the barracks on Perlowa st. In charge was General Koch who decided that the children should have a sign on their chests and backs in Ukrainian and English:" We're going to Stalin so he could feed us". Each should have a bottle of milk attached to a string and a pice of bread but it is forbidden to eat and drink ny of it. They were led to Zolta st ("yellow")and killed there. The Gestapo followed insrtructions as accurately as possible. The children suffered an agonizing death. |
