Through the window I saw Germans and the Blue Police chasing people who were trying to run away. Other people were being dragged out of their homes and various hide-outs and then gathered on the square in front of the Orthodox church. [...] At the same time, a group of Jewish men were digging a huge pit behind the Polish cemetery. They started bringing people to that pit around noon. The people had to strip naked, fold their clothes carefully and stand over the pit, where they were executed with a shot in the back of their heads. |
