When men from another village were digging pits, the local police gathered them and led toward Skidel. Some time later, soldiers who came from a different town, took 20-30 men from the barn and led them toward a previously dug pit and lined them up on its edge. Then, they fired a few series from machine guns. At first, they would make sure if all the men were dead, because they would come up to the pit and single shots were heard. The bodies were covered with dirt only on the surface. (...) Once all the people were murdered, the solders were levelling the ground and even dancing on the graves. |
