Full Testimony | In the winter of 1941 a directive was issued to surrender furs and all kinds of items made of fur. Searches and harassment began because people were lagging behind. One night, Germans dragged 7 or 9 men out of their homes, ordered them to dig a pit in the middle of the market square and executed them there. They buried them there as well. On the next day it was announced that people who would not give away the furs would suffer the same fate. |
