On 27 January 1942, all Jews from Skawina and surrounding villages were gathered on the main square. The prisoners were sitting on their bags when the trucks arrived; Couple of SS soldiers and a few from Sonderdienst jumped out. They would point at a person, mostly old and poorly looking, and order them to get into the car. They were taken to the forest near the factory where a ditch was prepared. It was in a shape of a semi-circle with a 30 m long diameter. People had to undress themselves and sit on the edge of the ditch; next, they were all killed with a single head-shot. |
