A report of works carried out in Pietrasze, Grabówka and Zielona, places of execution of the Nazi occupation's victims. [...] In Pietrasze, where Nazis killed 6,000 Jews and a great number of Poles, almost a whole forest is a mass grave. Nazis brought their victims to that forest, executed them and buried in the ditches. The bodies could have been found at the depth of 20-25 cm.In Pietrasze we fenced an area 57 m long and 47 m wide with a barbed wire. That was the place of burial. The surface was levelled, 8 mass graves and a tomb were formed [...] Apart from the aforementioned area, two other areas were fenced with barbed wire and 1,5 m high poles; one spot was 26 m long and 9 m wide, another 32 m long and 22 m wide. |
