Full Testimony	In early November 1942 Gabriel, an SS soldier, came to Sambir again and gave Judenrat orders to prepare food and drinks for the youth (Baudienst) who were to dig a massive ditch in the cemetery. It was 35 m' long, 3 m' wide and 3m' deep. After several days, when it was ready, Gabriel ordered Gestapo and Ukrainian Militia to gahter Jews in groups and lead them out of the prison, which was situated in the centre of the city. In groups of 250 people they were herded barefoot to the Jewish cemetery, forced to undress themselves and shot over the ditch.
