Gestapo, German Gendarmerie, Ukrainian militia and local Ukrainian nationalists surrounded the whole town. They chased all Jews out of their apartments [...] All of them were taken to the prison courtyard. Once they were there, all of their money and valuables were taken. Germans were transporting women and children, meanwhile, men were being herded to Góra Miejska where they had to undress. The first victims had to walk down a ladder into the grave, which had been dug out by Ukrainians at night, and there they were shot by Germans [...] The action lasted for 2 days i.e. 16 and 17 October 1941 |
