In autumn 1943, two men, who escaped the train to Oświęcim were walking by in the direction of Żary (Krzeszowice commune). [...] The village leader Franciszek Przybylski alarmed the inhabitants and they caught them, immobilized their hands with chains and led to Dubie, to Mirek Ludwik, also a village leader. He ran to the forest house, where a telephone was, and informed Gestapo in Krzeszowice about this. [...] They were led through the mill toward Pisary. One of the Gestapo officers shot them in the back [...] Mirek Ludwik took care of the bodies and buried them in the woods near Dubie." |
