Full Testimony	Lotne gestapo" (Airforce Gestapo) arrived to Chortkiv and organized a "Lapanka" (a round-up of civilians by the SS, Wehrmacht and Gestapo); 300 Jewish men were taken. Also Slovak soldiers took part in "Lapanka". Those caught were firstly taken to the yard in prison and on the next day to Czarny Las situated 5 km from Chortkiv for an execution. [...] After the liberation the still living Jews from Chortkiv exhumed the bodies in the presence of Soviet authorities and placed a memory board.
