| העדות המלאה | Once, by accident, I witnessed an execution of eight young Jewish girls. I was at my friend's house, which was adjoining the wall of the cemetery, when I saw two Schupo policemen leading victims for death. We were curious who the victims were, because the executions were usually held at dawn and then it was around four in the afternoon, so we had a chance to see the inhumanity of the oppressors. They were ordered to strip naked and politely told: "We have other more important things to do - undress quickly so it won't hurt!". Cynicism and treachery of that request was beyond belief. Two of those girls did not want to strip naked. They just lifted up their skirts to cover their eyes. A moment later eight gunshots were fired in the back of their heads and the execution was over. 15 minutes after that three new convicts were brought and they buried those eight bodies and dug another grave for themselves. My friend told me that he had witnessed many similar situations and that the Jews were often dying with cries and Jewish words as their last words. |
