After we arrived at the place, we saw two passenger cars in which Gestapo men from Terespol and Gendarmerie from Chotyłów came, Mr. Cwilich, the camp commandant, was also present. An hour later, about 2,000 Jews were brought on foot from the camp in Małaszewicze. They were ordered to strip naked and then lined in rows along the previously dug pit, which was 50 m long and about 4 m deep. Then, they were shot one by one. When one group was executed, others had to pour chlorine onto that layer and after that another group was executed, etc. |
