There, in a forest, 7 km away from Lutsk enormous, freshly dug pits were waiting. People were forced to lie down in them, completely naked. The Germans and the policemen were standing over the pit and shooting people lying in the pits with machine guns. Then, another group of people would come and lie on the dead bodies in order to be killed in the same manner. That's how 18,000 Jews were executed in Łuck. |
