| העדות המלאה | On Rosh Hashanah a group of Gestapo soldiers arrived, and started hunting down Jews on the streets. When the news spread, Jews started to hide in their homes; Gestapo then would enter the apartments, drag Jews out with their hands above the head, and lead them to the building of public school, where they were kept for the whole day. [...] After few hours Jews were herded to a room and in the evening loaded onto cars and taken outside the city. There they were put in rows of 10 and in the light of cars' reflectors they were shot with use of machine guns. That is how 170 Jews were killed. Some of them were from Dynów, others were the escapees from Brzozów, Krosno, Jasło, Nowy Sącz and Gorlice. |
