[September, 1939] Germans herded Jews outside the city, near the Salvatorians' Monastery. There, Jews had to dig a ditch, stand on the edge of it while Wehrmacht soldiers were shooting at them, and later covered the bodies with dirt. The Jewish community in Trzebinia along with the Jewish community in Chrzanów ordered an exhumation in December 1939 or January 1940. During the exhumation not all of the bodies were exhumed, but only 20. It was established that among those bodies 2 of them were Poles and the rest were Jews. |
